Cross contamination for EVS workers
What is cross contamination? Cross contamination per the dictionary is the process by which bacteria or other microorganisms are unintentionally transfered from one substance or object to another, with harmful effect.
As EVS workers we are the first line of defense along with hospital/clinic staff against the spread of infection. Many protocols have been laid out to assist the EVS worker to prevent the spread of disease. The use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and methods of cleaning help to attain cleanliness.
